Two members of the Grand View Track & Field team were recognized by the Midwest Collegiate Conference today for their national qualifying performances last week at the Vikings Throws Fest.

Senior Lauryn Camp (Preston, Iowa) was selected as the MCC Women's Field Athlete of the Week. Camp won the weight throw last Friday with an NAIA "A" Standard throw of 17.57m (57' 7 ¾"). Camp's distance was a school record and personal best, currently leads the NAIA, and is 36^th among all divisions of collegiate throwers.

Senior Tyler Wells (Des Moines, Iowa) was named the MCC Men's Field Athlete of the Week. Wells won the shot put with an NAIA "B" Standard throw of 15.45m (50' 8 ¼").

The GV track & field teams next compete at the UNI Panther Open in January 14^th.
