Grand View's Val Veiock (West Des Moines, Iowa) won her third MCC Women's Field Athlete of the Week award by hitting the national-qualifying standard in two events at the Wartburg Select over the weekend. 

The junior was second in the discus with an automatic-qualifying distance of 143-0.  She also placed second in the shot put with an NAIA 'B' standard of 43-3.25 and took third in the javelin with a distance of 113-6.  She leads the MCC in all three events and helped Grand View to a third-place team finish at the meet.

The Viking track & field teams next compete at the William Jewell Invitational April 12 in Liberty, Mo.
