Davenport, IA— The indoor track and field season began for the Grand View University women's track and field team on Saturday, December 8th.  The Vikings competed for the first time this season at the St. Ambrose Holiday Invite. 

Michaela Barretta won the 3,000m Race Walk in 17:01.96, earning a NAIA "B" standard qualifying time and currently the national leading time in the NAIA as well as a new GV school record. 

Michelle Carrillo brought home first in the Weight Throw, hitting a NAIA automatic qualifying mark of 17.02m (55' 10.25") which currently the 4th best mark in the NAIA this season.
