Grand View's Lance Maxwell (Racine, Wisconsin) was selected as this week's MCC Athlete of the Week for track and field.  This marks Maxwell's fifth accolade (second outdoor) by placing high in two events at the Grand View Viking Classic.  The senior won the discus with an NAIA 'A' standard mark and league-leading distance of 163-9.  He was also fourth in the hammer throw with a toss of 164-4, placing behind two NCAA Division I throwers.
