EUGENE, Oregon - Central graduate Kurtis Brondyke (Class of 2011) competed with the best athletes in the United States this past weekend at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials. Brondyke finished in 11th place in the 18 man field for the decathlon. Defending gold medalist Ashton Eaton took first place. A 19-time All-Iowa Conference performer and five-time NCAA All-American, Brondyke finished with a two-day score of 7,614 points.
