Viking sophomore Jennifer Davis (Clemons, Iowa) earned her first career Heart of America Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week award announced by the league on Monday.

Davis was recognized for her performances at the Heart of America Indoor Track & Field Championships where she won the shot put in an NAIA 'A' national qualifying distance of 13.39m. She was also third in the weight throw with a toss of 15.11m and voted as the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year. Davis helped the Vikings to an overall third place team finish in the field of 13 teams.

Davis and the Vikings are back in action Saturday, Feb. 20 at the Wartburg Invitational in Waverly.
