The Viking throwers opened the 2015 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships with two All-American performances today in Gulf Shores, Ala.

Seniors Jena Krebs (Washington, Iowa) and Val Veiock (West Des Moines, Iowa) represented Grand View today in the Women's Hammer Throw. Krebs took third place overall with a personal best toss of 54.54m (178' 11.5").Veiock was sixth overall with a mark of 51.64m (169' 5.25"). Both Krebs and Veiock earned All-American status as top-eight finishers.

Veiock will compete again on Friday along with teammate Jennifer Davis in the Women's Shot Put. Keonte White will run the 100m Prelim, Taylor Mitchell in the Men's Discus, and Malik Denny in the Men's High Jump.
