Viking senior Val Veiock (West Des Moines, Iowa) has been named MCC Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Veiock won her seventh award of the year after being named MCC Field Athlete of the Year at the MCC Championships over the weekend. She claimed conference titles in the shot put (48-4.5), discus (148-6), and hammer throw (174-4).

The Vikings compete at the Concordia Twilight this Friday, May 4 in Seaward, Neb.
