[Women's Outdoor Track and Field] Viking Women Win 11 of 18 Events, Four National Qualifying MarksPublished by
The Grand View women's track and field team won 11 of 18 events at the William Penn Relays with four national qualifying marks. Most impressive at the meet was once again junior Val Veiock (West Des Moines, Iowa). Veiock won the shot put with a conference-leading, GV school record and NAIA 'A' standard national qualifying throw of 14.23m (46-8.25), currently the fifth best throw in the NAIA this season as of Thursday evening. She also won the discus with a conference leading, GV school record and NAIA 'A' standard national qualifying mark of 46.19m (151-6), currently ranks fifth best throw in the NAIA this season as of Thursday evening.
