Junior Kelsey Carbajo (Spring Hill, Kan.) led the Viking women to a 13^th place finish in a field of 33 teams at the Brissman-Lundeen Invite hosted by Augustana on Friday. Carbajo ran a personal best of 23:56 which is third best all-time in the GV record books.

As a team, the ladies turned in the #5 all-time best team time for a 6k race (1-5 runners). Junior Jasmine Nielsen (Denver, Iowa) tied her personal best time of 24:34.

Also recording personal best times were freshmen Macy Carbajo (Spring Hill, Kan.) who improved her PR time by 1:36 (25:52), Hayley Leonard (Maxwell, Iowa) and Ashley Girard (Collins, Iowa).

GV will take a weekend off before returning to the course on October 12 at the NAIA National Preview Meet in Lawrence, Kansas.
