The Grand View women brought home third place overall in the women's MCC Outdoor Track & Field Title today in Oskaloosa, Iowa.  In the two-day event the Vikings finished with 199 total points. 

For the first time, sophomore Val Veiock (West Des Moines, Iowa) was voted as the MCC Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year.  Along with taking home first place in the shot put Veiock improved her previous set NAIA "A" standard throw to 13.80 meters.  Veiock also placed first in discus with a throw of 42.54 meters along with a third place throw of 35.03 meters in the javelin.
