The Viking women's track & field team took third place at the Wartburg Select held today in Waverly. GV finished with a team score of 93 points behind winner Wartburg (351.50) and runner-up  Augustana (122).

The Viking throwers were dominant today and won three events. Val Veiock was champ in the discus (41.01m), Colleen Frank in the hammer (44.27m), and Devon Jensen in the javelin (35.12m).

Veiock also turned in an NAIA 'B' standard mark in the shot put. Her third place toss of 13.31m leads the MCC.
