MOUNT VERNON – Cornell's Sam Martinez (JR/Bowie, Texas) has been named Midwest Conference Women's Cross Country Performer of the Week for the period ending Oct. 12.

CEDAR RAPIDS – Junior Sam Martinez (JR/Bowie, Texas) raced to her second cross country title of the fall and Cornell's women claimed their second team crown in Saturday's Lamb-Kohawk Invitational at Noelridge Park.

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Cornell's Sam Martinez (JR/Bowie, Texas) beat 492 competitors during an impressive run Friday night at Augustana's Brissman-Lundeen Invitational.

GRINNELL – Cornell's women's cross country lineup was far from 100 percent Saturday, but the Rams still managed to score a top-five finish in the Les Duke Invitational at Oakland Acres.

PALO – A 55-minute rain and lightning delay was all that would slow Cornell's women's team Friday night at Morgan Creek Park.  

MOUNT VERNON – Junior Sam Martinez and sophomore Abrah Masterson both ran record times on the Ash Park track during last Friday's cross country time trials.
