KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced Thursday that 223 men's cross country student-athletes have been named 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. 

Trey Thompson and Jonathan Facio ran to all-region recognition to lead the Simpson men s cross country team to a 12th-place finish of 31 teams at the NCAA Central Region Championships on Saturday.

The top six runners finished within 23 places of each other and the Simpson women s cross country team placed 20th at the NCAA Central Region Championships on Saturday.
